Lean Manufacturing

‘Do more with less’, is what lean manufacturing basically boils down to. In other words, avoiding any waste. The simplest example is naturally not making anything that will be rejected. In any case we want to reduce and minimise rejects. We do this by inserting an inspection step in between all the process phases, in accordance with our ISO 9001 procedure book.
It is also a question of identifying the best process for the product. Afterwards we create flow. We also plan in reverse, which means that an order only proceeds to production when we can produce it in one go. This means we achieve optimal flow and less work in progress.
